This is an exciting time for Calhoun County Adult School. For many people it is difficult to physically attend school because they are busy just trying to make ends meet with work and family. Calhoun County Adult School is assisting those needing alternative school hours. We have joined with FATDEC (Florida Adult and Technical Distance Educational Consortium) . This will allow adult students who have access to an internet connected computer the ability to choose their own hours and still have access to a personalized instructor and optional on-line lessons done in "real time".

While this is primarily an online program, some face-to-face contact will be required, but is minimal. This face-to-face contact will consist of a required TABE testing and distance education orientation which will take approximately 5 hours to complete. High School course exams or tests, and Official GED Practice Tests will also be given face to face. The rest of the coursework or GED preparation can be completed from the comfort of their own homes or any where there is a internet connected computer.
